Eddie is making a graph to determine how many buses will be needed to transport all the seniors on a field trip. He records the number of students on the x-axis and the number of buses on the y-axis. What is a reasonable range for this graph?

The domain goes with x, the number of students
The range goes with y, the number of buses
A) -100 < y < 100
That can't be the correct answer
because you don't need to allow for a
negative number of buses
B) -50 < y
That can't be the correct answer
because you don't need to allow for a
negative number of buses
C) y = 0
That can't be the correct answer
because you can't have 0 buses, i.e. no buses at all!
D) 0 < y < 100
That's the only one that makes sense,
more than 0 busses (at least 1 bus) but less than
100 buses.
So D) is the only answer that makes any sense.
