4x+8y=-24

Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-4x-2y=-12
4x+8y=-24
my favorite question
add the two equations and you eliminate x because 4x-4x=0
then substitute your answer for y in either equation and you find where they intersect.
to graph them
hint: Do one equation at a time
set x to zero and get y e.g. -4x-2y=-12 becomes -2y=-12 y=6
set y to zero and get x
and plot those four points and draw the lines.
Do that for both equations
