Question 242540: How do you find the x intercepts and the y intercepts on a plotted graph??
Answer by Theo(13342) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the x intercept is the value of x when y = 0.
the y intercept is the value of y when x = 0
to find the x-intercept on the graph, look on the graph and see where the graph of the equation crosses or touches the x-axis.
to find the y-intercept on the graph, look on the graph and see where the graph of the equation crosses or touches the y-axis.
in the following graph:
The x-intercepts are at x = -2 and x = 2
The y-intercepts are at y = -4
