Question 23867: write the slope intercept form of the equation of the line passing through (-2,5) with slope 7
please help im stuck
Answer by Paul(988) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since slope (m) = 7
You can use one of the following method: slope-yintercept form of the y-intercept method.
For now I'll do the slope-yinercept form : y=mxb
Pick y to be 5 and x to be -2
Sub in the known values and solve for b
5=7(-2)+b
5=-14+b
b = 19
Hence the equation for the slope is y=7x+14.
