Question 23084: How can i estimate the roots of the equation, (y=x^2-4) by using a graph?
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Finding roots by use of a graph is getting to be one of best methods available, especially with graphing calculators. Just draw the graph, and the roots are the values of x, where the graph crosses the x-axis.
In this case, notice that the graph crosses the x-axis at x= 2 and x= -2, so the roots are x= 2 and x= -2.
