I do not know how to graph the parabola y= x^2
----------------------
Plot a few points and draw a smooth curve thru them.
If x = -2, y = 4 giving you (-2,4)
If x = -1, y = 1 giving you (-1,1)
If x = 0, y = 0 giving you (0,0)
If x = 1, y = 1 giving you (1,1)
If x = 2, y = 4 giving you (2,4)

In order to graph , we need to plot a few points. To find these points, simply plug in values of 'x' to find corresponding values of 'y'. They will form the points in the form (x,y).

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square -3 to get 9.

So when , . So we have the point (-3,9).

----------------------------

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square -2 to get 4.

So when , . So we have the point (-2,4).

----------------------------

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square -1 to get 1.

So when , . So we have the point (-1,1).

----------------------------

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square 0 to get 0.

So when , . So we have the point (0,0).

----------------------------

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square 1 to get 1.

So when , . So we have the point (1,1).

----------------------------

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square 2 to get 4.

So when , . So we have the point (2,4).

----------------------------

Let's find the y value when

Start with the given equation.

Plug in .

Square 3 to get 9.

So when , . So we have the point (3,9).

----------------------------

Now let's make a table of the values we just found.
