: 1. Evaluate the exponential equation for three positive values of x, three negative values of x, and at x=0. Use the resulting ordered pairs to plot the graph. State the equation of the line asymptotic to the graph (if any).
I'm not sure how to evaluate the equation for the values it's asking for. Where do I start? I know how to plot all the points of the graph, I just don't know how to get the correct numbers with the problem below. Please help!

y=3(x-4)
y=3x-12
y=3(2)-12
y=6-12
y=-6
(2,-6)
Pick two more positive numbers and then the negative numbers plus zero.
In fact if x=0 y=-12
(0,-12)
