Question 21144: write the equation of the line in slope- intercept form that passes through (-2,7) with a slope of 3
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A line has the form y = mx + b
You are given x=2, y=7 and m=3.
So, 7=3(2)+b
Therefore b = 1
So the equation is y = 3x +1
