Question 210801: I go to school in Buna, Texas. We do not have an Algebra book. We use work pages that are copied from a book. I really can use the help. My TAKS math teacher says she doesn't know how to work these problems.

1. 2z + 7 < z + 10

12. 1/2(2t+8) > or = to 4 + 6t
18. 3.4 + 1.6v < 5.9 - 0.9v
41. 3/4d - 1/2 < or = to 2 1/2

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. 2z + 7 < z + 10
Subtract 7 from both sides
2z < z + 3
Subtract z from both sides
z<3 That's it.
---------
12. 1/2(2t+8) > or = to 4 + 6t
t+4>=4+6t
Subtract 4
t>=6t Valid only when t = 0
--------------
18. 3.4 + 1.6v < 5.9 - 0.9v
Multiply by 10 to eliminate fractions
34+16v<59-9v
16v<25-9v
25v<25
v<1
------
41. 3/4d - 1/2 < or = to 2 1/2
x4
3d-2<=10
3d<=12
d<=4
------
Having the book makes no difference, the tutors don't have the book anyway.
