Answer by checkley75(3666) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1,1) and (6,-1)
Y=mX+b
m=slope
b=y intercept
slope=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
slope=(-1-1)/(6-1)
slope=-2/5
1=-2/5*1+b
1=-2/5+b
b=1+2/5
b=(1*5+2)/5
b=(5+2)/7
b=7/5 y intercept.
y=-2x/5+7/5 is the line equation.
