Question 18834: Find an equation of the line, in slope-intercept form, that contains the points (5,-2) and (9,3).
Answer by music974(43)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First find the slope in the equation y2-y1/x2-x1. Then subsitute so you get
3-(-2)/9-5, 3+2/4, 5/4. This is your slope so then you plug htis and which ever ordered pair you have into the equation. y=mx+b, 3=5/4(9)+b, 3=45/4+b, 4/15+b. The equation would be y=5/4x+4/15.
