: Evaluate the piecewise function for x=0 and x=6.
f(x)={18, if x is less than 0
{7, if 0 is less than or equal to x is less than 6
{-3, if x is greater than or equal to 6
I worked it out to: when x=0, f(x)= -6 so f(0)= -6,
when x=6, f(x)= -3, so f(6)= -3
Am I correct?

The piecewise function
really means that
ONLY when , or ONLY when , or ONLY when
Since is in the interval , this means that (as this function corresponds with this interval).
Also, because is in the interval (which is the third interval), this means that since this is the corresponding function to the given interval.
