Question 186582: The x intercept of the equation y = 1/(2x − 4) is 2.
If false what is the x intercept?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The x intercept of the equation y = 1/(2x − 4) is 2.
----------
Let y = 0 and solve for "x":
0 = 1/(2x-4)
Multiply both sides by 2x-4 and you will see a contradictio: 0 = 1
--------------
There are lots of ways to show this equation has no solution.
So there is no x-intercept.
