Question 181127: Trees in urban areas help keep air fresh by absorbing carbon dioxide. A city has $2100 to spend on planting spruce and maple trees. The land available for planting is 45,000 square feet. Spruce trees cost $60 to plant and require 600 square feet of space. Maple trees cost $40 to plant and require 900 square feet of space. Spruce trees absorb 650lb/yr of carbon dioxide. maple trees absorb 300lb/yr of carbon dioxide.
1) write the two inequalities for this problem.
2) graph both on the same coordinate grid.
I have no idea where to start. Are the two inequalities the amount of space used and the ampunt of CO2 absorbed? Please help....

Trees in urban areas help keep air fresh by absorbing carbon dioxide.
---------------------------------------------------------
Write the two inequalities for this problem.
Value Inequality: 60s + 40m <= 2100
-------------
Area Inequality: 600s + 900m <= 45,000
-------------
Rearrange the inequalities for graphing:
Let m be the independent variable:
s <= (-2/3)m + 35
s <= (-3/2)m + 75
