Question 180554: this question says to graph the equation. the equation is 3(y+4) =-2x
i decided to put it into slope intercept form and then graph it. i'm not completely positive if i did it right though. first, i used the distributive property to make the equation 3y + 12 = -2x
then i subtracted 12 from both sides making it now 3y = -2x -12
then i divided 3 to everything making it now y= -2/3x - 7/3
so in conclusion i had m= -2/3 and b= -2 1/2
i'm not sure if that's right, but i needed to make sure. if i know this is right, then i'm pretty sure i could finish the rest of them. thanks :)
Answer by bandgeek1749(3) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3(y+4)=-2x
distribute: 3y+12=-2x
subract 12 from both sides: 3y=-2x-12
divide by 3: y=-2/3x-4
so therfore m= -2/3 and b= -4
