Question 176856: Hi I need some help with this:
Find the slope of a line aith coordinates (7,5) and (2,-4).
Thanks in advance!!
Answer by Mathtut(3670) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The slope is =change in y /change in x= rise/run =slope =m....
:
remember to not change directions of coordinates you can go either direction 1st point to 2nd point or 2nd point to 1st. but you cant go 1st point to 2nd point for y coodinates and the 2nd point to first for x coordinates.
:
that being said I will my direction will be from(2,-4) to (7,5)
:
(-4-5)/(2-7)=-9/-5=9/5........so slope is 9/5
