First, one doesn't solve for a table of values. One determines the table of value. Since the goal is to plot the graph of an equation, one determines the table of values by computing the value of y for each value of x. Lets take a simple equation y = 5*x + 3.
When x = 0, y = 5.
When x = 1, y = 8.
When x = -1, y = -2
When x = 2, y = 13
When x = -2, y = -7.
Plot these ordered pair of points.
