Question 17070: HOW DO YOU SOLVE THE FOLLOWING PROBLEM?
1. IF RADIUS OF A CIRCLE IS 8.6CM WHAT IS THE AREA AND CIRCUMFRANCE?
Answer by tjnw79(57) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First of all you need to find the formulas for the circumference and the area of a circle is
C=circumfence
d=diameter 17.2=(8.6*2)
r=radius (8.6)
pi=3.14
So plug in your numbers first the area
=232.3521927
now the circumfrence
multiply 17.2 on both sides of the = sign
