Question 164176: Im not sure if this problem should be under this topic. But any help would be great! :)

The function y= .03X^2 + 254.50 0 a) Determine the inverse of the function. What does each variable in the inverse function represent?
b) Use a graphing utility to graph the inverse function.
c) Determine the percent load interval if the exhaust temperature of the engine must not exceed 500F.
Thank You Again :)

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The function y= .03X^2 + 254.50 0
-----------------------
a) Determine the inverse of the function. What does each variable in the inverse function represent?
x = 0.03y^2 + 254.5
y = sqrt[(x-254.5)/0.03]
----------------------------
b) Use a graphing utility to graph the inverse function.
AMP Parsing Error of [graph(400,300,-10,300,-10,50,[(x-254.5)/0.03]^(0.5))]: Invalid expression '[(x-254.5)/0.03]^(0.5))': syntax error at /home/ichudov/project_locations/algebra.com/templates/Algebra/Expression.pm line 203. .
----------------------------
c) Determine the percent load interval if the exhaust temperature of the engine must not exceed 500F.
What does that have to do with the function or its inverse?
