Question 162741: are these line parallel perpendicular or neither?
5x+3y=3
3x-5y=9
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x+3y=3
3y=-5x+3 this line has a slope=-5 (red line)
3x-5y=9
-5y=-3x+9
y=-3x/-5+9/-5
y=3x/5-9/5 this line has a slope=-3/5 (green line)
(graph 300x300 pixels, x from -10 to 10, y from -10 to 10, of TWO functions -5x +3 and 3x/5 -9/5).
These line are neither.
