Step 1. Plot y=2x^2. All this is is a parabola that grows twice as fast as y=x^2.

Note that from tradition, and out of precision, we would draw such a graph with a dotted line.
Step 2. We want all values of y such that y is larger than 2x^2. Simply, the area inside the parabola should be shaded. All values of y inside the parabola will be greater than 2x^2. For example, when x=0, y=0. But in our shaded area, y is greater than 0!
