campare and contrast the graphs on
y= (x+1)^2
This takes the graph of y = x^2 and moves each point 1 to the left.
y= (x+2)^2
This takes the graph of y = x^2 and moves each point 2 to the left.
y=(x+3)^2
This takes the graph of y = x^2 and moves each point 3 to the left.
