first we find the slope (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(60-32)/(10-0)
28/10=2.8 is the slope.
now replace one set of (x,y) values in the line equation (Y=mX+b) & solve for b.
32=2.8*0+b
b=32 for the y intercept.
tghus the line equation is:
y=2.8x+32
100=2.8x+32
2.8x=100-32
2.8x=68
x=68/2.8
x=24.2857 or 1994+24.2857=2018 Is the year when 100% are projected to be direct depositing.
