Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I have this problem I have no idea even where to start. Here it is..
Graph on a rectangular coordinate system:
y > x + 2
--------------
Anytime you are asked to graph an inequality you start
by graphing the equality with is the boundary of the
inequality.
---------
!st: Graph y = x+2 with a dashed line:
You need two points.
If x = 0, y = 2
Is x = 1, y = 3
Plot the two points (0,2) and (1,3) on the coordinate system.
Draw a dashed line that passes thru the two points. That is
the boundary of the inequality.
2nd: Since your inequality says "greater than", shade the
half-plane above the line. That is the graph of the inequality.
