Question 136345: how do i graph x+2y=-6?
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+2y=-6
2y=-x-6
y=-x/2-6/2
y=-x/2-3
you could set x=0 & solve for y
y=-0/2-3 then you have one point (0,-3)
then you could set y=0 & solve for x
0=-x/2-3
-x/2=3
-x=6
x=-6 then you have another point (-1.5,0)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, -x/2 -3).
