Question 133451: can you help me graph the equation usin the slope intercept or using the intercept procedure (finding the x and y intercepts by substitutng zero)
4x+y=5
3x-2y=6
3y=5
y=2x+8

We'll do slope intercept on the first one.

and in the form
so, intercept = 5 ; slope = -4

We'll do the second one using substitution:

set x = 0 so and so the first point is (0,-3)
set y = 0. so and . so the second point is (2,0)
Plot those two points and draw the line that includes them

The third one is a bit different. There is no specific value for x. Every point includes y=5/3. This is a horizontal line where with a y of 5/3.

Use slope intercept on 4. Look at problem 1 if you need more help with it
