Start with a y intercept of 5. That is, go up 5 units on the y axis and put a point. Then from that point, since the slope is 1/2, count up 1 unit and then go right 2 units, and put a second point. Draw a DOTTED line between these points and continue in both directions. You do NOT want to include the line itself, so we use a dotted line. Then since the problem says "y > ", shade everything that is ABOVE the line.

Below, you will find the graph of the line, but you will have to make it a DOTTED LINE and SHADE everything that is ABOVE THE LINE.
