Start with the given function.
Plug in . In other words, replace each x with -2.
Evaluate to get 4.
Multiply 5 and 4 to get 20
Multiply -3 and -2 to get 6
Now combine like terms

I assume you meant 5x^2, but if not, repost it...
To find f(-2), just plug in -2 everywhere you see x and simplify:
