Question 1185969: Problem: 4y = -3
1. Find the slope, y-intercept, and the x-intercept of your equation and one additional point on the line.
2. Discuss what the slope and the intercepts mean in your problem, not just in general.
3. Show all steps used in finding the slope, the intercepts, and the additional point on the line.
Answer by josgarithmetic(39617) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You expect this in two dimensions on Cartesian Coordinate System?
No restrictions on x values. Only one possible y value. What does that tell you?
If you are unsure, then better help requires you telling the full problem description exactly the way it is given to you. Other than that, SOLVE your equation for y in terms of x (and notice you have no x-terms in your equation), and put into slope-intercept form. THAT should tell you everything you need to know!
Actually, the questions 1., 2. 3. you have there are clear enough. Just solve for y and put into slope-intercept form.
