You can actually do this one just by looking at the equations. Notice that the coefficients on x in both equations are equal, AND the coefficients on y in both equations are equal. That tells us that the slopes of both equations are equal. The fact that the constant terms are not equal says that the y-intercept of the two lines is different. Taken all together, we now know that the lines are parallel and not the same line, so they never intersect and there is no solution to the system.
