transformation is a |x-h| +k
here k is 0 and a is 2
to move to the left
the transformation involves (x-h) and if h is (-4) we have 2abs |x-(-4)| or 2 abs|x+4|
Use the opposite sign of what is inside the bracket (abs here) and same sign for k
