IF THIS IS A LINE EQUATION THEN:
X-2Y=6
-2Y=-X+6
Y=-X/-2+6/-2
Y=X/2-3 THUS WE HAVE A SLOPE=1/2 & A Y INTERCEPT=-3 OR (0,-3).
YOU FIND THE X INTERCEPT BY SETTING Y=0 & SOLVE FOR X.
0=X/2-3
X/2=3
X=3*2
X=6 THUS THE X INTERCEPT=(6,0).
