The cost of beef is P100.00 per kilo and has 90% lean and 10% fat. The cost of pork is P75.00 per kilo and has 70% lean and 30% fat. The husband’s monthly requirement is at least 6 kilos of lean meat and the housewife’s requirement is at least 2 kilos of fat. How much beef and pork should be bought per month to minimize the cost and at the same time satisfy the lean and fat requirements of the couple?
