Question 112766: Find the slope of any line parallel to the line through points (7, 9) and (9, 8).
Answer by SHUgrad05(58) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First find the slope of the first line:
y2-y1/x2-x1: 8-9/9-7 = -1/2
Lines are parallel IFF they have the same slope.
Therefore the slope of any line parallel to the line through points (7,9) and (9,8) is -1/2
