the way to graph y=5/4x:
set y=0 and solve for x.
0=5/4x
x=0 or this defines the point (0,0)
now set y to any other number like 4 & solve for x;
4=5/4xnow cross multiply
4*5/4=x
x=20/4
x=5 or point (5,4)
y=5x/4 (red line)
2y-5x=-2
2y=5x-2
y=5x/2-2/2
y=5x/2-1 (green line)
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, of TWO functions y = 5x/4 and y = 5x/2 -1).
