DISTANCE=RATE*TIME
SEEING AS THE DISTANCES ARE THE SAME, WE SET THEM EQUAL.
480*X=320(2.5-X)
480X=800-320X
480X+320X=800
800X=800
X=800/800
X=1 HOUR FOR THE FIRST TRIP @ 480 KPH.
2.5-1=1.5 HOURS FOR THE RETURN FLIGHT @ 320 KPH.
PROOF
480*1=320*1.5
480=480
480 KM IS THE MAX DISTANCE HE CAN FLY IN 2.5 HOURS @ 480 & 320
