is equivalent to

|x-5| <= 9.


The solution is the set of all real numbers that are remoted not farther than 9 units from the point "5" in a number line,

i.e.  -4 <= x <= 14.

Answer.   The solution set is   -4 <= x <= 14.


      The answer (and the solution ?) by @josgarithmetic is W R O N G.
      Simply ignore it.
