Answer by Fombitz(32388)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

a.) P(2000)=2.25(2000)-7000=-$2500
b.) P(5000)=2.25(5000)-7000=$4250
c.) At breakeven, revenues equal cost. Since profit equals revenues minus cost, then profit equals zero. She neither makes nor loses money.
P(x)=0
2.25x-7000=0
2.25x=7000
x=3111.1
Since she can't make 0.1 of a unit, round up to the next whole number.
x=3112 units
