Question 1081299: What is the distance, in units, between the points (2, -6) and (-4, 3)? Express your answer in simplest radical form.
Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
distance is sqrt(change in x^2+ change in y^2). One can go in either direction because there is squaring.
x changes 6 for square of 36. y changes 9 for a change of 81
add the two.
sqrt(117)=sqrt(9)*sqrt(13)=3 sqrt (13).
