Question 1079317: Hello, I have to find three ordered pairs, & graph them on a coordinate plane, for the following equation:
2x-y=3. I have to table the ordered pairs in x and y columns.
Do I convert the equation to: y=2x-3 ? Or do I convert the equation to: y=2x+3 ? Or do I need to convert the 2x to a negative 2x ?
Please help?
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You don't really need to change the equation.
Suppose you want the ordered pair ( x1, 0 )
Just make and find
So now you have the ordered pair:
( x1, y1 ) = ( 3/2 , 0 )
----------------------------------
Suppose you want the ordered pair ( 1 , y2 )
Make and find
So now you have the ordered pair:
( x2, y2 ) = ( 1 , -1 )
---------------------------------
You can create as many ordered pairs as you want this way
