Question 106152: how do you find the y coordinates from the equation f(x)= -4x+2
Answer by HyperBrain(694)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Here, f(x) represents y.
And, every value of x has a corresponding value of y.
That's why, x is called the independent variable.
So, just substitute any value of x
EXAMPLE
f(x)=-4x+2
FInd f(5)!
f(5)=-4(5)+2
f(5)=-20+2
f(5)=-18
