Question 1051718: Let (4,-5) be the point on the graph of F(x). Find the point on the graph of.
a. y=f(x-1)
B. y=-f(x+4)
C. y=2f(x-3)-4
I don't really understand this question am I suppose to use a formula for each one? Or how do you even get the problem solved?

Answer by josmiceli(19441)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If this is all they give you, then that means the
function, is unknown. In that case, I
think this is all you can do:
(a)
( 4,-5 )

The point would be:
( 3, f(3) )
----------------------
(b)
( 4,-5)

The point is:
( 8, f(8) )
----------------------
In other words, you can't really use the
information that , because
when changes, then what does do?
Only the actual function would tell you that.
