|3 + 4k| =   --->

|3 + 4k| = 23  --->


a)  3 + 4k = 23  --->  4k = 23 - 3  --->  k =  = 5.


b)  3 + 4k = -23  --->  4k = -23 - 3  --->  k =  = -6.5.

Answer.  There are two solutions for k:  k=5  and  k = -6.5.
