The equation given is in standard form. To find the slope and y intercept all we have to do is rewrite the equation in slope intercept form, which is
y = mx + b
m is the slope
and b is the y intercept
so lets do it
start with the orginal equation in standard form
2x - 3y = 6
first move the 2x over by subtracting it from both sides
2x - 2x - 3y = -2x + 6
The 2x's on the left side cancel out leaving
-3y = -2x + 6
Next isolate y by dividing -3 into both sides of the equation
-3y/-3 = -2x/-3 + 6/-3
y = (2/3)x - 2

Now that the equation is in slope intercept form we can easily identify the slope and y intercept
