Question 1047151: Solve the compound inequality. Write the solution set using interval notation and graph the solution set on a number line: -4<2(x-3)≤4.

Please show me the steps to solving this as well as graph the set on a number line. I'm trying to solve this now for awhile. Thanks for your help.

Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-4<2x-6<=4
add 6 to all sides
2<2x<=10
divide by 2; 1 < x<=5
1 . Note: the dot on the left should not be colored in since it is not a less than or equal.
Check
0 should not work
-4<2(-3)<=4. The left side doesn't work
3 should work
-4<0<=4. That works.
