-4=2-2x
-4=2=6
subtract 2 from both sides
2-2cancels each other out
then got 6=-2x
then i divided each side by 2
and got the answer 3=x

you got the right answer, but I was a little confused by how you worked it out.
here is how I would do it:
-4 = 2 - 2x
subtract 2 from both sides
-4 - 2 = 2 - 2 - 2x
2's on the right cancel out
-4 - 2 = -2x
-6 = -2x
divide both sides by -2
-6/-2 = -2x/-2
3 = x
