Question 1004386: i was given an equation y=-x-6
I was told to find three sets of points to graph. I got the answers wrong and the right answers that was given to me was (-1, -5), (0, -6), (1, -7) can someone explain me how we got these sets of points from the given equation? thank you

Pick some number to represent "x", e.g. x = -1.

Compute -x-6. Here x = -1, and -(-1) - 6 = 1-6 = -5. So y = -5.

One such ordered pair is (-1, -5).
