Simply multiply each equation by its LCD -------- eq (i) -------- eq (ii)
2x + y = 4 ----- Multiplying eq (i) by LCD, 4
- 2x - y = 8 ----- Multiplying eq (ii) by LCD, 8 ------> False, so NO SOLUTION
