Answer by Edwin McCravy(20060)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P.-- A.----R.--T
PR = AT              Given

PR = PA + AR A whole is the sum of its parts.
AT = AR + RT         "   "    "  "   "   "  "    "  .
PA + AR = AR + RT Things equal to equal things are equal to each other.
     AR = AR         Identity
-----------------
PA = RT If equals are subtracted from equals the results
                     are equal.
