Question 932592: Please HELP!!! I understand I am suppose to use the two major laws of deductive reasoning "The Law of Detachment and The Law of Syllogism" to rewrite and answer if the statements are true or false but I'm getting so confused with the wording that I feel like I'm making this harder than it needs to be.
Advertising slogans often use conditional statements,
which may or may not include the words “if”
and “then.” Sometimes the conditional is implied.
Restate each of the following in “If. . . , then. . .”
form. Decide if the statement is true or false. Write
the converse, and decide if the converse is true or
false. Justify your responses.
a. “Choosy mothers choose Jif.” (Jif Peanut Butter)
b. “If it says Libby’s, Libby’s, Libby’s on the label,
label, label, you will like it, like it, like it on your
table, table, table.” (Libby’s Food)
c. “If you don’t get it, you don’t get it.” (The Washington
Post)
